Product Warranty Summary
Secure Lockers warrants that our products are free from defects in materials and workmanship when used as intended and installed correctly. Because ranges differ, the warranty term for each product (e.g., Lifetime / 15-year / 10-year) is shown on the product page and confirmed on your quote/invoice.
Australian Consumer Law (ACL): Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
What the warranty covers
- Scope: Defects that arise under normal, intended use and correct installation during the stated term.
- Remedy: At our option, we will repair or replace the affected product/part with new or reconditioned components of equal or better specification. Using refurbished parts does not reduce your remaining term.
- Who’s covered: The original purchaser in Australia (consumers only but commercial use included). Coverage is generally not transferable.
Conditions of cover
Warranty applies where:
- The product is installed per our instructions (or by our installation team) with suitable fixings to a compliant substrate.
- The specified material matches the environment (e.g., HDPE or compact laminate for wet/chlorinated areas; powder-coated steel in dry, non-corrosive settings; laminate where appropriate).
- The product is used within stated loads and duty, with reasonable care and routine maintenance (tightening, cleaning with approved products, battery changes for electronic locks).
- No unauthorised modification (cutting/drilling/respraying/relocation) has occurred without our written approval.
- Defects are reported promptly with proof of purchase and supporting evidence.
What is not covered (common exclusions)
- Wear & tear appropriate to age/use; cosmetic blemishes that do not affect function.
- Damage, misuse, or improper operation: impact, forced entry, over-loading, incorrect cleaning chemicals, heat/corrosives, vandalism.
- Incorrect or non-compliant installation, including wrong fixings, inadequate substrates, lack of clearances/ventilation, or relocation after install.
- Surface/finish characteristics considered normal manufacturing variance (e.g., minor powder-coat texture differences on non-visible faces once installed; batch-to-batch colour variance in powder coat, HDPE or laminate; grain direction differences where not specified).
- Consumables/service items: batteries, keys, cylinders, code cards, decals/plates, bumpers, glides, standard fasteners.
- Events beyond our control: fire, flood, storm, salt-spray corrosion where unsuitable materials were specified, acts of God.
Components with different coverage
Some high-use/moving components may carry shorter component-specific terms (as is standard across the industry), including without limitation: locks and latching, electronic keypads/RFID modules, drawer runners/slides, tambour doors, bench/seat timbers, castors, and decorative trims. Where a different term applies, it will be identified in the product listing or your documentation.
How to make a claim
- Email service@securelockers.com.au with: company name, order/invoice number, product description, site address, date of installation / delivery, contact details, and a brief issue description.
- Attach clear photos/video showing the defect and installation context (fixings/substrate), plus any maintenance records.
- We may request additional photos, a video call, site inspection, or return-to-base assessment before determining a remedy.
- If a warrantable defect is confirmed, we’ll arrange repair or replacement in a reasonable time. If no defect is found, inspection/attendance costs may be chargeable.
Costs & access
- Freight/access: Unless required by law, you’re responsible for freight to/from our facility or an authorised service centre. For on-site service, provide reasonable access (e.g., booked lifts/docks). Remote-area or after-hours surcharges may apply.
- Reinstallation/Builder’s works: If units must be removed/reinstalled to effect repair due to site constraints, associated site labour is not included unless agreed.
Notes on materials & finishes
- Colour matching: Exact colour matching across production batches cannot be guaranteed. For critical matches, request approval samples prior to order.
- Finish availability: Powder-coat and laminate decors may be reformulated or discontinued. If unavailable, we’ll propose the closest current alternative.
- Smart locking: Compatibility with existing cards/systems depends on card technology and security policy; batteries/credential management are customer responsibilities unless a service plan is agreed.
